Shane, Grey, Blaze, and Kali were at the park. Kali was off her crutches. Grey got nervous when he was with her. She's beautiful. he thought. "H-Hi." Grey said. She laughed. He loved her laugh. "Wow Blaze you were right." The two giggled together at their inside joke. "Hey now. No inside jokes tonight." Shane pulled Blaze closer to him. "Tonight we're all serious. Grey and Kali, we're going to the tree, k?" Grey nodded. "Yea we'll be by the slide." They sat down on the bench by the kid's park. A little boy and a little girl were playing some sort of chasing game where she was the purple deer with wings and he was the best hunter in the universe. Kali and Grey laughed at the two. "I always wanted kids. After what happened, I thought it was impossible." Grey forgot the most important rule. "What happened? Oh s***! I'm sorry...I mean...I just...Oh..." She laughed. "Yea Shane told you I don't like to talk about it. Oh well I've got my legs back now. It was a car wreck. My dad was driving drunk. I lost my legs. He lost his life." "Oh...I'm so sorry I just had to open my big mouth." "No it's ok. Any other questions?" "Well um where are your crutches?" "It didn't take me long to relearn how to walk so I can go without sitting for an hour and a half." Grey blushed a little and looked down. She laughed then stopped abruptly. "Oh I hate my stupid laugh. My smile is worse and my eyes--" Grey lifted her face so she was looking directly at his. "Your laugh is cute. I get chills of joy when you smile. And your eyes...I could live in them forever with nothing else and I'd be able to survive." His pressed his lips, gently, to hers and put his arm around her waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck. They stopped and the little kids started giggling. The little girl walked up to them and the boy followed. "Hi." the little girl spoke to Grey. "Do you wanna play too? You can be a hunter with Josia and she can be a deer with wings with me. I'm Maria." Kali looked at Grey and they both smiled. "Sure. Can I be a green deer?" Kali asked Maria. "Sure. Now we have to hide from the hunters." The two girls flitted about gracefully as if they had wings and the boys acted like true, quiet, skilled, hunters. Finally the kids had to leave and Kali and Grey sat back down, breathing hard from running so much. "Well I caught my little deer so now what?" Grey laughed. "Well," Kali began, "This is the part where I tell you I'm actually a human girl that was cursed." Grey inched closer. "And I guess only a kiss can set you free?" She smiled and once again he lifted her face to his. Finally, they decided it was time to go to the car where Blaze and Shane were waiting for them. They got back to the car and Blaze said "Finally! What are you guys? Turtles?" Grey and Kali laughed. "Well actually I'm a green deer with wings and Grey is a hunter."

Shane drove home. "So did you havefun with Kali?" He had dropped the girls off at Blaze's house."Oh man she's perfect! I love her laugh and her smile and her---OH MY GOD SHANE!!!!" Before they knew it, they were dodging a drunk driver and spinning and then they were swerving on the road. A eighteen-wheeler honked at them as it almost hit them head on. "WATCH THE D*** ROAD!!!!" Grey yelled. Their car flipped and Grey's head hit the dash...blackout.
