Qiana talked to the doctor. "It could have been a lot worse. He got lucky. The knife was only a centimeter away from his gallbladder. Had it pierced it, bile would have poisoned him to death." She walked into the room they had K-Mar in and the first person she saw was Alec. He had told her to go home and that he'd stay and watch K-Mar. Now he was leaned over in a chair: asleep. Qiana laughed quietly and walked to K-Mar. When she walked past Alec, she bent to kiss the top of his head. "Thanks." she whispered. She got to K-Mar and she just couldn't believe that R.J. would hurt him like that. the doctor said it was luck but she knew for a fact that it was just God making sure K-Mar stayed on Earth for a little while longer. She looked at his dark hair and pushed it of his face. She remembered the day that she told him he needed to cut his hair. "Nah now. You know you like it long like this." "I know I know. I'm just thinking you'd look...a little more...I don't know! But either way please cut your hair!" "Nope. Nothing you say or do will make me cut my hair. I love my hair long just like it is now." "But why?" "Think about Samson. He had long hair and he was so friggin strong it wasn't even funny. Then his girl went off and cut his hair and the Phillips came and basically killed him." "So you did pay attention in church?" "Duh! You led me to Christ and now I wanna learn more 'bout him." "Well you didn't listen too good because remember Samson killed himself with the Philistines." "Oh yea well anyway I'm not cutting my hair!" She laughed. "Mabey your hair made you strong enough to take a stab huh?" His eyes opened a little bit. "Now will you stop telling me to cut my hair?" "Ok ok. I'll let you keep it. So how you feel?" He tried to sit up. He felt the stab all over again and cried out. "Lay down K-Mar. You need your rest.You might rip out the stitches if you move too much. Dr.Williams said you need to take these for the pain but I'm gonna give em to you because he said their highly addictive. You don't take em until you're out of the hospital because your IV is giving pain meds already." "Yes ma'am Dr. Carnell." he laughed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shane and Blaze were in Shane's room. He couldn't believe what happened. And right before his eyes. Tex is gonna be a dead one. Shane and K-Mar were friends only because K-Mar was the one who convinced him and Alec to be friends again. I'm gonna kill Tex. Shane was so mad that he forgot Blaze was sitting next to him. "I'm gonna kill you Tex. You're dead next time I see you." Blaze touched his shoulder. He was so mad he almost hit her when he felt her. "Calm down Shane. It's over and K-Mar is ok." She kissed the tattoo on his neck that said ~Shane~. He had three tattoos. One on his back, one on his left shoulder, and her favorite was the one on his neck. He shivered. She always tried so hard to make him forget why he was mad and he always tried to resist. She kept on kissing his neck until he turned and kissed her back. He forgot why he was angry by the time they were laying down. "Dang it Blaze. That's not fair." "Yea it is." She kissed him again. "You know I can never think when you do that." "I know and that means you forget why you're mad." "I hate it when you do that." He held her closer to him. "You lier." "You know me too well." "We better get up. You said you wanted to visit K-Mar." She got up and he followed her outside to his 08 Camero. "Knowing him, he's been trying hard to get out of that hospital."
