Shane sat on the couch with Blaze across from his parents. He had just told them that he and Blaze were going to be parents. "Well," his dad started, "I'm not going to lie, Shane. I'm disappointed. But I won't do like, no offense, Neveah's parents. You can stay here if you have nowhere else to go as long as you take care of the baby. You two have to realize that the consequences are deep for what's happened but I think it's a good idea that you have thought this through and decided to keep the baby. An abortion would have been tragic and with adoption, you may never see your child again unless you arrange visits with the parents. Anyways, I'm ok with it, well you know I mean that you're staying together and keeping the baby. Like I said, I'm no where near proud that you two are parents but I am proud that you handled this like adults." Shane's mother nodded. "I agree with your father and if you need anything, you can always come to us." Shane looked at Blaze and then at his parents and smiled sheepishly. "Looks like I'm in some trouble huh?" His mom laughed. "Well actually this baby's going to prove enough trouble for the both of you. You won't be partying. You'll be burping, cleaning, and feeding the baby. We'll help you out but you have to realize that we can only help you a little bit. You'll have to learn responsibility." Blaze and Shane both nodded. "We know. And I promise Mr. and Mrs. Walker that I'll carry my weight and whatever other weight you need me to."
